The Winnebago powwow is always a good powwow. They now charge native peoples for entrance to the powwow. The Winnebago Powwow is not the oldest powwow for the record. The Omahas gave them the Haythushka society which is a public warrior/veteran society. The Winnebagos did have songs, dances, and customs for their warriors prior to moving to Nebraska but today they practice the formalities of the Omaha He'thushka He' Dewachi(Dance of Giving Dance or The Harvest Dance) which itself gets more in depth and detailed why the songs are sung, dances are danced, and so forth.
